Francis Mhimbira is an epidemiologist based in Tanzania and has worked in the TB field since 2006. He has a medical degree from University of Dar es Salaam, Master degree in Epidemiology from The University of Melbourne, Australia, and a PhD in Epidemiology from University of Basel.

Francis Mhimbira is an epidemiologist based in Tanzania and has worked in the TB field since 2006. He has a medical degree from University of Dar es Salaam, Master degree in Epidemiology from The University of Melbourne, Australia, and a PhD in Epidemiology from University of Basel.

He brings to EPIMAT Consulting over five years of clinical research experience conducting epidemiological, diagnostic, operational, implementation and clinical trials. His skills span from proposal writing, study design, implementation, data analysis, report writing and scientific publication.

He has consulted for several organizations in program evaluation, data quality, review and policies, guidelines, training packages and documenting best practices in TB, Malaria and HIV in the sub-Saharan Africa. He is actively involved in several technical working groups including TB operational research, TB research committee and Programmatic Management of Drug Resistance TB.

Dr. Francis has worked with: National TB and Leprosy Programme, National AIDS Control Programme, Zanzibar Integrated HIV, TB and Leprosy Programme, KNCV Tanzania, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS Service Organisations (EANNASO), Southern Africa HIV and AIDS Dissemination Services (SAfAIDS).
