Comprehensive Uganda National TB and Leprosy Program Review, 18-29 March 2019
Uganda has recently conducted the comprehensive review of the National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP) to understand the progress of the implementation of the Revised National Strategic Plan (NSP) of 2015/16 to 2019/20. EPIMAT Consulting through its Managing Partner Dr. Francis, was privileged to join 13 other consultants from WHO, CDC and Stop TB Partnership, and 40 national reviewers from the TB program and implementing partners to review Uganda NTLP NSP. Dr. Francis joined the review in the week of 25th March to contribute to Monitoring and Evaluation thematic area in particular contributing the findings Uganda TB surveillance system and epidemiological trends of TB disease in Uganda. The achievements have been made and we hope to continue to support the M&E unit of NTLP in improving recording and reporting, data management and increasing the analytical capacity at national and sub-national levels.
It was yet another great honour to work with Uganda NTLP, WHO Global TB programme through Tuberculosis and Monitoring Evaluation Unit, WHO AFRO and WHO Country Office. I look forward to continued partnership and collaboration with WHO TME in improving TB control in Africa and Ending TB.
