EPIMAT Consulting keeps on growing and work with other countries in Africa, and now it is Uganda. Our Managing Partner, Dr. Francis Mhimbira worked with World Health Organization Global TB Program (WHO GTB) in Geneva Switzerland, WHO AFRO and Uganda National TB and Leprosy Programme to conduct the TB Epidemiological Assessment.
This was an exciting opportunity to work with National TB and Leprosy Programme and KNCV Tanzania in collaboration with consultants from KNCV Netherlands. We collected routinely collected data from NTLP, implementing partners and other government agencies. We used an Excel-based tool that was developed in 2017 by Dr. Rein Houben, M. Farid, the Indonesian NTP, and KNCV Indonesia to estimate the sub-national (regional and district) TB estimates.
