Workshop with NTLP to review sub-national TB incidence in Tanzania, 2018

This was an exciting opportunity to work with National TB and Leprosy Programme and KNCV Tanzania in collaboration with consultants from KNCV Netherlands. We collected routinely collected data from NTLP, implementing partners and other government agencies. We used an Excel-based tool that was developed in 2017 by Dr. Rein Houben, M. Farid, the Indonesian NTP, and KNCV Indonesia to estimate the sub-national (regional and district) TB estimates. The findings were then presented at the workshop in Morogoro to NTLP program officers, regional and district TB coordinators, WHO and other implementing partners involved in TB control in Tanzania.

The sub-national TB incidence estimates proved useful to NTLP and complemented in the planning and allocating resources for TB control. Thank you KNCV Tanzania for the opportunity to work with you.
